Introduction

LongDong Bay is by far the most popular dive site in the north. It is divable all year around, except for large swell or when the waves are coming from the North East.

Most common dive site is called “Ho-Mei Elementary School” or “the ladder”, in the summer the carpark is usually full by 8.00AM and you will often see ques of people waiting to enter the water by the ladder.

The great thing about LongDong is there is something for everyone. Depth ranges from 5m to over 25m. This makes it very very busy in the summer months. Often times you will see at least more than 30 divers in the water.

Features
The interesting feature of this dive site are the reef formations ‘dragons back’ and ‘dragons tail’ which are over 20m depth.

You can also find the ‘squid nest’ which is located further around the point away from the more common diving spots. Here you have chance to see hatching squid.

Common Species
Expect to see most of the common fish you would see in Northern Taiwan waters.
