If you’ve ever wanted to learn to scuba dive. This is where the journey starts, breathing underwater is an experience you will never forget.
Get your scuba diver certification by taking the PADI Open Water Diver course. This certification is recognized worldwide allowing you to rent equipment and dive in any dive center throughout the world. If you are heading off to a renown diving destination why not get certified before you leave so you can get the best bang for your buck, relax and enjoy fun diving while you are there.
To enroll in the PADI OW course you should be over 16 years old (though PADI does accept as young as 10yo). You need to be an adequate swimmer and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
The course will be run with pool classes in the evening mid-week, the pool includes class time to learn the basics of scuba diving, as well as 3 confined dives in the SSSC pool where you will learn skills and get comfortable with the gear.
After these dives, the next two weekends you will head out to the NE coast around the Fulong area and complete 4 more scuba dives in the open water (in the open ocean) where you will again complete the required skills. After you complete these checkout dives you will complete a short exam. Upon successful completion of the course you will be a qualified scuba diver.
Cost for the course is NT$10 000, and an additional NT$3000 for the PADI books and certification cards.
Use of a full set of scuba diving gear is included in the costs including a mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, regulator, buoyancy control device, weights and a tank.
