    Hi Danny,

If you already have a silca gel packet for your camera housing, then you might try to reuse it.

Myself, every couple of outing I will take the silca gel packet and put it in the over at around 100C for 45mins. Other suggest 140C for 90mins.

I have also read but not tried using a microwave oven to dry silca gel packets. Put the silica gel in and set the microwave power to the medium to medium high setting. Dry for about 3 to 5 minutes.

I do not mean to sound ignorant, but what are the purpose of the packs?

Removes moisture, they stop the inside of the camera port from fogging up.

Awe Danny that makes complete and total sense to me now. Will be sure to keep this in mind for when I go diving with a camera!

Wow I never knew that you can dry these out in the microwave! What an excellent tip. I think that these are sort of hard to come by but if you can reuse like that, that is great!!!!
