I will eventually be taking pictures when I dive. I want to gather some of the best tips and tricks that others have found to be successful to make sure that I am getting the most from my underwater images.

Get to know your camera intimately, so it becomes second nature. Ideally learn to shoot in manual mode. A good way to practice is to do some macro photography on the surface. Most photos you take underwater you will be no more than 1M from the subject, often times just 5~10cm.

Thank you so much for that tip Hsinhai. I will be sure to practice much before I take it shooting with me as I don’t want to miss any photo ops!
