    Hello Guys,

my wife and me just recently moved to Taiwan. We are living in Taipei – Xinzhuang District.
We both started diving end of last year on the Phillipines. We both have SSi OWD and Nitrox and Night Diving Specialty.
We are both interested to keep on going with diving in Taiwan. I read a lot about the diving sites in Taiwan. Due to we live in the North, we are looking for other divers, which can introduce us to the Taiwan diving comunnity. As we both don´t speak Mandarin, we would appreciate if there are english speaking diving groups, which are willing to welcome some unexpirienced newbies.

    Best Regards

    Hey Matthias,

Welcome aboard! right now many consider this time of year off season, many still dive but you have to pick your days. This time of year the waves are often rough, for instance during this long weekend it looks like weather is going to be poor and not really divable.

If you get a chance head down to Kenting, Green Island or XiaoLiuQui.. My recent favorite is XiaoLiuQiu as it is cheap, can easily be done in a weekend and you are guaranteed to see turtles, loads of them.. plus the water is still a barmy 25C even this time of year.

As things get better up here many dive shops will start organizing weekend fun dives, and we will promote them in our Events section. There is not much in the way of social diving groups up here specifically, seems a lot of divers are quite cliquy. Happy to try to help get you out diving..
