I’m looking for some advice. I’m heading to Taipei for work beginning of Aug 2015 and have a couple additional days to spend in Taiwan. If you had 2-3 days to spend diving in Taiwan where would you go?

From the reading I have done looks like the choices are Green and Orchid Islands or Kenting National Park. Any insight would be appreciated.

    Hi Donny,

Given the chance, and enough time I would do green island. It is pretty easy to get to from Taipei by train. Very hard if it is a public holiday.

A round trip train to TaiTung will cost NTD1440 (USD48), return boat ticket is NTD980 (USD32, but you likely can get a discount through the place you stay).

To take care of you (diving/accommodation/ferry), look up BlueSafari, or better a new place recently opened the Safety Stop, run by Craig a foreigner.

Thank you. How about kenting how good is the diving there and is it easier to reach?

In the end I made my way down to Malapascua, PI, awesome diving!
